The Night Before

HIM..

“There were many times when I saw you, but it was only once when I noticed you for the first time. You were on the opposite side in the girls’ row. It was our time to listen to the bantering of the teacher, and you were waiting for your turn next. I was not interested in listen to how stuff works from that pot bellied man!! I was more interested in stuff that I didn’t know could interest me. Your eyes…..”

He closed the diary. That was the 47^th entry to his daily diary since he noticed her. It was 11:45 pm. He was supposed to be asleep. But that was one thing that was not happening. And he was wondering why. He knew her for so many years, it never happened before. How can a girl come to his subconscious thoughts so much? What was it that drove it? He was just 13. He smiled, maybe tomorrow.

HER..

Why was he looking at me today? Maybe he thinks the same about me. I wish he talks to me tomorrow!!

It was 11:45 pm and she couldn’t sleep either. She had to lie quietly, otherwise her mother will wake up. She was wondering why that shy guy was looking at her for past some days. They were in the same class for so many years. He never looked at her like that. She did, but he never noticed!! She smiled, maybe tomorrow.

THEM..

They were confused, he was tensed whether he could sum up the courage to go up and talk to her, or maybe send one of his friends to one of her friends and work something up. She was praying to god, to have some miracle happening tomorrow so that he could approach her in any way.

They were thinking, all these tense moments would pass away and they would be happy. They were thinking - The Darkest Hour Of The Night Is Just Before The Dawn!!! Everything will be in their favour tomorrow. Tomorrow’s sun would bring new hopes for them!! It will give him courage, and it will grant her the wish. And it was all that was happening that night.
